S-sigh..
I'm so happy that this week is almost over. All the tests are done, the NSSLHA social went well (I met some new people 8D), and omfg.. my anatomy professor's home is so amazing. *A* It didn't even feel like we were in Conway.. you can tell that she has a lot of money, omfffff.
She and her husband are both speech pathologists, so it's not that surprising, but dangit. She lives in one of those gated communities, where everyone has those huge, castle-like brick houses. With a big back yard. D8 The interior of the house was like.. something from my dreams. -dies- Yes, I'd love to live in a place like that. And her kids were so cute and excited to see everyone. XD I got to talk to her for a bit! Well, she came to Beka, Minden, and I. I love how you can see her love for this profession. All of the faculty, really, it's obvious they love what they do. It makes me excited to be going into this field. ;;
Honestly.. I wasn't too sure if I wanted to do it. I wanted to be a translator because I adore learning languages. The pay wouldn't be great if I did it independently, but I would be doing what I love. On the other hand, the process of speech and how you make sounds by articulation was also intriguing to me. I was interested in how languages are created, their structure and the rules of language. Speech path has to do with this, and the disorders of speech. I thought it seemed interesting so I went with it! Plus the pay is pretty awesome, hoho. My phonetics class is similar to linguistics..
Dx ff, linguistics! <3 I want to minor in linguistics so badly.. But my advisor said it would be a bad idea. -wtf-
Anyway.. I'm going to try and relax this weekend. x_x; I'm a little sick with a cold. I just feel like sleeping. -sigh-
